Getting To Know You: Sept 6-7

Today,

1. Students found their seats and completed the Getting Acquainted survey. Mrs. Skotnicki shared her survey with students.
2. Mrs. Skotnicki gave book talk.
3. As a class, we participated in an icebreaker activity to get to know each other.
4. As a class, we briefly discussed the summer reading assignment.
5. We briefly went over the English 4 Syllabus. We will discuss it in more detail next week. Please sign it and ask your parents to read and sign it for homework.
6. We discussed procedures for room 231, particularly the cell phone policy.
7. Mrs. Skotnicki invited students to join her Remind account for text message reminders about homework and other assignments. Enter #81010 with the message @mrsskot and follow the directions on your phone.

9. Students wrote goals for English 4 prior to dismissal. Mrs. Skotnicki collected these and the summer reading at the end of class.

2. Summer reading assignment, if not already complete, is due September 30.
